Status: In a relationship with English

I have always liked English as a subject, and after taking English at HiB last year, I decided that I wanted to continue on working with this subject. By choosing this masters degree I was given the opportunity to expand my knowledge from last year. It is possible to take a masters degree in English at a university, but the master they offer at HiB concentrate on English in relation to teaching. As a future English teacher I therefore see this master as extremely educational.

In our group there are also students having Norwegian or Mathematics as their main subject. This gives us the chance to see both similarities and differences between the subjects when it comes to didactical relations. We also have many group discussions where both the students and our teachers contribute with their experiences and thoughts. When working like this, you don’t just learn a lot, you also get very inspired.

I would advice students who have a passion for English, Norwegian or Mathematics to apply for this masters degree. I have no doubts that you will be given a positive experience when working with this study, and mostly important achieve a better foundation for teaching.
